生前醫療指示文件：包括 a.生前醫療意願書 (Living Will or Directive to Physician), 這分文件是讓醫院、醫生、或許親人知道當你不冶時，你是否要繼續靠人工系統來維持個人的生命. b.醫療委託書 ( Medical Power of Attorney), 指定一個或數個醫療代理人。代理人(委託人）可以為你在你無法為自己做醫療決定時替你做決定。這兩分文件都必須在個人神智清醒時準備好、以便不時之需.
