Free Nutrition and Wellness Courses 免費「營養健康課及體能活動」

Location: Dallas Chinese Community Center, 400 N. Greenville Ave. #12, Richardson, TX 75081
Nutrition and Exercise are important factors to keep us healthy. DCCC and AACCS will host Nutrition and Wellness courses, which include the Basic of Nutrition, Food Detective, Portion Control, Food Safety, Recipe Makeover and Cancer Prevention. The courses will be taught by licensed Dietitian Nutritionist, Chunyun Xiao and Oncologist, Zhiyong Li.
After the courses, we also arrange activities to enhance our body’s strength. Norma Yang will teach us on Tai Chi Chuan. She has been learning/practicing Tai Chi for over 12 years and took her lessons from Mr. Chungking Tu. She is currently a Tai Chi instructor at DCCC and IBPS Dallas, teaching Tai Chi Chuan, Tai Chi Fan, Tai Chi Sword and Tai Chi Knife.
There are 6 courses in this program, and it starts from 8/3/2019 to 9/8/2019 on Saturdays/Sunday 2:00-4:00 pm. The dates and the nutrition courses/Tai Chi are as follows:
08/03 The Basic of Nutrition/opening, cloud hands, diagonal flying
08/10 Food Detective/grasping the sparrow’s tail, single whip
08/17 Portion Control/raising hand and stepping up, white crane spreading its wings
08/31 Food Safety/brushing knee and twisting step, playing the lute
09/07 Recipe Makeover and Achieving a Balance/major deflecting and parrying punch
09/8 Cancer Prevention and Screening/apparent close out, crossing hands, conclusion
All ages and genders are welcome to participate in the courses to learn about nutrition and exercise to improve the health of the whole family. Seats are limited, so please contact us for registration as soon as possible.

營養和運動是維持身體健康的重要因素,達拉斯華人活動中心和亞美健康關懷服務特別舉辦免費營養和運動教育課程,營養課程內容包括基礎營養知識、食品偵探、分量控制、食品安全、食材選購與料理、疾病預防等等,課程由專業營養師蕭淳韻和腫瘤科醫師李志勇主講。
此外還安排體能活動,增加身體的活力。我們特別邀請傅碧珠老師教授太極拳,傅老師學習太極拳將近十二年,師承已退休的杜重慶老師,目前在達拉斯活動中心和佛光山達拉斯講堂教授太極拳、太極扇、太極劍和太極刀。
全部課程共有六堂課,從8/3/2019到9/8/2019,每星期六/日下午2:00-4:00,上課日期和營養課程/太極拳如下:
08/03 基礎營養知識/起式、雲手掤、斜飛
08/10 食品偵探/攬雀尾、單鞭
08/17 分量控制/提手上勢、白鶴亮翅
08/31 食品安全/摟膝拗步、手揮琵琶
09/07 更換食譜 達到平衡/大搬攔捶
09/08 癌症預防/如封似閉、十字手、合太極
歡迎所有人踴躍參加營養與體能活動課程,不分性別年齡,共同學習如何透過飲食和運動促進全家人健康。本課程名額有限,請預先報名。
