Dallas Chinese Community Center is working with Asian American Cancer Care Services to provide information and sign-up opportunity on free Pap smear.

To be qualified for free for Pap smear, patients have to be Asian American women, age 18 and above, with limited family income (*monthly income under $2082 for a single woman) and with no health insurance.

Provision of services is based on funding availability. Please contact us if you or someone you know are interested.

子宮頸癌通常是由「癌前期病變」經長時間慢慢惡性轉變而來的，在這段時間內，如果我們可藉由各種子宮頸癌篩檢工具來早期發現、早期接受正規治療的話，治癒率相當高。第一期子宮頸癌病人經過治療，五年存活率高達88.2%，第二期為67.7%。子宮頸抹片檢查可以降低60~90%子宮頸癌發生率及死亡率。另外我們需要提醒您! 即使是停經婦女還是需要接受檢查。

亞美健康關懷服務和達拉斯華人活動中心今年申請到休斯頓光鹽社和 Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas (CPRIT) 的補助，將提供十名免費子宮頸抹片檢查給亞裔婦女。檢查對象是年滿十八或以上、低收入家庭、沒有醫療保險的亞裔婦女。因為名額有限，請有需要的婦女儘速報名。
